Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft voiced his disappointment with home fans who booed the team during a 35-14 loss to the Atlanta Falcons at Lambeau Field on Thursday.
The defeat left the Packers with a 1-2 record early in the season, and the home crowd showed visible frustration during the home opener.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Kraft questioned the crowd's reaction and stressed that negative feedback would not help the team improve.
"That's pretty tough. Like everyone pictures Lambeau Field and not boos.
I don't picture boos. I picture my home stadium.
That's tough. It's pretty disappointing, especially for a home opener," Kraft said.
"It's pretty disappointing. It's not going to help us win.
Like I don't know what people think that's going to rally us or something like that. But that's — we're grown men.
We're mentally strong enough, capable enough to get back on the field and play ball.
But it'd probably much easier with the 70,000 people behind us rather than opposing us," he added.
Packers quarterback Jordan Love also described the home loss as frustrating, noting that the team must reset its strategy moving forward.
