San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Mike Evans is expected to play in Sunday's Week 3 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals despite a hip injury.
The 49ers enter the game aiming to remain undefeated and improve to a 3-0 record.
Evans was listed as questionable after missing workouts on Wednesday and Thursday.
He returned as a limited participant in Friday's practice before deciding to join the active lineup.
Through two games this season, the veteran pass-catcher has accumulated nine receptions for 103 yards and one touchdown.
The injury occurred during a 27-yard reception in last week's victory over the Miami Dolphins.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan indicated that Evans could have re-entered that game if the score had required his presence.
San Francisco continues to navigate significant attrition at wide receiver, placing Demarcus Robinson on injured reserve Saturday with a high-ankle sprain.
Robinson joins Ricky Pearsall, De'Zhaun Stribling, and Christian Kirk on the injured reserve list.
Evans will suit up alongside Deebo Samuel, Jacob Cowing, Jordan Watkins, and KhaDarel Hodge against Arizona.
Defensive Notes: Bosa and Stout
Defensively, star pass rusher Nick Bosa missed practice sessions with calf and knee issues.
Defensive coordinator Raheem Morris addressed Bosa's impact through the opening weeks.
"He's been the most dominant player without a sack. He's been awesome when he's rushing the passer," Morris said.
Morris noted Bosa's pressure on opposing quarterbacks while praising his overall effort.
Bosa has logged seven total tackles and one quarterback hit across 76 defensive snaps this season.
"He just forgot how to sack people, I joked with him this weekend," Morris added.
Morris also commended second-year nickel back Upton Stout, who posted five tackles, a half-sack, and a pass breakup in his last outing.
"He is a dog. Just watch last game.
He is outstanding and was all over the place, our player of the game on defense," Morris said.
The Cardinals enter Sunday's contest with defensive tackle Roy Lopez sidelined by a groin injury.
Quarterback Jacoby Brissett fully participated in practice, while center Hjalte Froholdt, cornerback Max Melton, safety Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, and linebacker Mack Wilson were limited.
