The action followed the discovery of four lots of contaminated jalapeños used during production between July 8 and July 29, 2026.

Affected retail 12.5-ounce bottles carry best-by dates of November 5, 13, 18, or 25, 2026.

Specific batch codes range from 2628-106 through 2631-056 across the four designated best-by dates.

Symptoms and Consumer Guidance

Salmonella exposure causes symptoms such as watery diarrhea, severe abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, and fever, according to the U.

S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Symptoms typically appear six hours to six days after consuming contaminated food.

They generally resolve within four to seven days, though severe illness may require medical attention.

Consumers holding the affected product are instructed by the FDA to discard it immediately or return it to the point of purchase for a full refund.
