Silva Claims Vacant Flyweight Title
In the main event, Natalia Silva captured the vacant women's flyweight title with a unanimous decision over Wang Cong.
Judges scored the bout 48-47, 48-47, and 49-46 after Silva (21-5-1) survived a late surge from Wang (10-2), who landed a heavy left hook in the final round.
The title became vacant after former champion Valentina Shevchenko relinquished the belt due to an injury.
Following the championship bout, Shevchenko immediately released a statement on social media regarding the division's new titleholder.
"Well deserved Natalia, Congratulations!" wrote Shevchenko, former UFC flyweight champion.
"It's my pleasure to know that UFC champion's belt is now holding deserving martial artist -- such as you are!
But don'get too comfortable -- keep it warm, I'm coming soon for my belt."
