Francisco Prado reportedly weighed 190 pounds on Saturday, October 10, 2026, after gaining 35 pounds in roughly 24 hours following the official weigh-in for UFC Vegas 122 in Las Vegas.

The Argentine lightweight had agreed to face Brazil's Ismael Bonfim despite his opponent exceeding the division's limit by 7.5 pounds, according to MMAmania.

Bonfim registered 163.5 pounds for their scheduled lightweight contest, exceeding the 156-pound limit by 7.5 pounds.

Prado made the 155-pound limit, and according to MMAmania. com, agreed to proceed with the fight in exchange for 25% of Bonfim's purse.

The unusual weight change became a major talking point ahead of their matchup at Meta APEX.

Prado shared an image on social media indicating that his weight had climbed to 190 pounds, potentially changing the physical circumstances of the contest.

Fighters' Records and Recent Form

According to DraftKings Network, Prado entered the bout with a 12-5 professional record and a 1-5 mark in the UFC.

He had lost four consecutive decisions, including his most recent defeat against Charles Radtke at UFC 327 in April.

The 24-year-old Argentine had previously competed at lightweight before moving to welterweight.

His return to the 155-pound division offered an opportunity to compete closer to his original weight class after struggling against larger opponents.

Prado's UFC career included a first-round stoppage victory over Ottman Azaitar, which earned him a Performance of the Night bonus.

He also received Fight of the Night recognition for his contest against Daniel Zellhuber, according to DraftKings Network.

Despite his recent losses, Prado had never been finished professionally entering the matchup.

His record included 12 victories and five defeats, while his finishing ability and durability were highlighted in previews published before the event.

Bonfim arrived in Las Vegas with a 20-7 professional record and a three-fight losing streak.

According to DraftKings Network, his most recent setback was a first-round submission loss to Axel Sola in July.

The 30-year-old Brazilian had recorded two UFC victories, against Terrance McKinney and Vinc Pichel, alongside four defeats.

His losses in the promotion included bouts against Benoit Saint Denis, Nazim Sadykhov, Chris Padilla and Axel Sola, according to BetMGM's fight preview.

Bonfim's durability had become a concern after a series of stoppage defeats.

DraftKings Network reported that all seven of his professional losses had come by knockout or submission, although his striking and grappling skills remained important factors in the matchup.

The fighters also brought different statistical profiles into the contest.

Data published by Yahoo Sports listed Prado at 5 feet 10 inches with a 69-inch reach, while Bonfim stood 5 feet 8 inches tall with a 71-inch reach.

The same comparison credited Bonfim with averaging 5.10 significant strikes per minute, compared with Prado's 3.68.

Bonfim also had a higher significant-strike accuracy rate at 54%, against Prado's 43%, while Prado's submission average was 0.8 per fight compared with Bonfim's zero.

The matchup was scheduled for Saturday, October 10, at UFC Vegas 122, also billed as UFC Fight Night: Allen vs. Duncan.

The contest brought together two lightweight fighters seeking to halt losing streaks, with Bonfim's missed weight and Prado's reported post-weigh-in gain adding an unusual physical dimension before the fight.
