Jordan Hawkins has entered free agency after mutually agreeing to part ways with the Memphis Grizzlies via waivers on Friday night.
The move came less than a month after the guard was acquired from the New Orleans Pelicans.
The 24-year-old was selected 14th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft after winning a national title with UConn.
Across 174 career games, including 20 starts, Hawkins has averaged 8.0 points while shooting 34.8 percent from three-point range.
Guaranteed Salary and Contract Options
Hawkins was due a fully guaranteed $7.02 million for the final season of his rookie contract.
Because Memphis remains responsible for that guaranteed salary, interested teams can sign Hawkins to a minimum contract, a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 deal, or a two-way deal.
During his stint with New Orleans last season, Hawkins averaged 5.1 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in 51 games.
He was traded to Memphis in September alongside AJ Johnson and Taj Gibson before being waived.
The Golden State Warriors previously expressed interest in Hawkins prior to the 2023 draft, according to letsgowarriors. com.
Golden State offers a movement-heavy offensive system alongside Stephen Curry, though roster constraints remain a factor.
The Sacramento Kings present another option where Hawkins could serve as a floor-spacer off the bench next to playmakers Domantas Sabonis and Darius Acuff Jr.
The Dallas Mavericks could also utilize Hawkins as a spot-up shooter alongside elite creators Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving, providing spacing without heavy ball-handling duties.
The Indiana Pacers represent a potential landing spot as well, as they seek perimeter shooting depth behind Tyrese Haliburton, Andrew Nembhard, and Aaron Nesmith to boost their bench scoring.
