Fantasy football managers are adjusting their Week 6 lineups across the NFL as analysts from Yahoo Sports, NBC Sports and Sports Illustrated evaluate quarterback, defense and receiver options.

The recommendations focus on matchup strength, recent production, injuries and changing player roles.

Quarterback Starts and Sits

According to Yahoo Sports, Brock Purdy of the San Francisco 49ers is a recommended quarterback start against the Washington Commanders because the opponent has allowed 25 or more points to opposing quarterbacks twice this season.

Yahoo Sports also highlighted Jordan Love of the Green Bay Packers after he threw for 367 yards and two touchdowns against the Chicago Bears.

Love has recorded at least two touchdown passes in each of his last five games, according to the report.

Daniel Jones of the Indianapolis Colts was also identified as a potential Week 6 starter by Yahoo Sports.

The quarterback posted a season-high 267 passing yards against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week without committing a turnover.

Yahoo Sports advised fantasy managers to avoid Justin Herbert of the Los Angeles Chargers after a difficult stretch.

Herbert produced 121 passing yards against the Denver Broncos in Week 5 while turnovers increased.

The report also listed Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix as a player to bench against the Seattle Seahawks.

Yahoo Sports cited concerns about his limited downfield passing and recent fantasy production.

Defense Rankings and Receiver Risks

NBC Sports ranked Week 6 fantasy defenses using factors including points allowed, third-down performance, pressure rate, passes defended, turnover rate and explosive plays allowed.

According to NBC Sports, the Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Seahawks and Jacksonville Jaguars were placed in the top tier of Week 6 defensive options.

The Chiefs were highlighted because the Chargers entered the matchup with injury concerns and a projected low scoring output.

Sports Illustrated identified Jaylen Waddle of the Denver Broncos as a risky fantasy option against Seattle.

The report cited his recent average of 3.3 receptions, 41 receiving yards and no touchdowns over his last three games.

Sports Illustrated also noted Waddle's recent usage numbers, including a 17.5% target share, 1.31 yards per route run and fewer than 40 air yards per game.

The publication categorized him as a volatile WR3 or FLEX option for Week 6.

Other players listed as Week 6 concerns by Sports Illustrated included Trevor Lawrence, Woody Marks, Courtland Sutton and Colston Loveland because of matchup difficulty, workload uncertainty or declining recent production.
