Rome will host the Transform3 Festival from October 15 to 17 at Villetta Social Lab in Garbatella.
The three-day independent event brings together associations, collectives, professionals and artists to discuss sexuality, relationships, health and self-determination.
The festival follows a 2025 debut that examined the relationship between bodies and everyday spaces.
This year, the program turns toward intimacy, care and medicine, framing them as social and political issues rather than only private matters.
An Open Space for Experience and Knowledge
Organizers aim to create an open and accessible space where personal experience, scientific knowledge, activism and artistic practice meet without hierarchy.
The event is designed to avoid specialist language, polarized debate and stereotyped representations.
"Speaking about bodies means speaking about politics," the festival organizers said.
That position underpins a wider focus on desire, pleasure, care, health and emotional life.
The festival treats the body as both a space of self-determination and a place where inequality becomes visible.
Participants announced by the organizers include PID Onlus, Gender X, Punto di GI, Educare alle Differenze, Associazione Vanvera with Cuore Scoperto, SWIPE and Conigli Bianchi.
The program also lists Francesca Fulceri, Ludovica Anzaldi, Chiara Moretti, Francesco Pacifico and Alessandra Carnaroli.
A video contribution from the staff and production team of director Erika Lust is also scheduled.
The broader program will alternate discussions and debate with music, performances and other artistic interventions.
Villetta Social Lab, the venue in Rome's Garbatella district, is described as a social and cultural space centered on participation, inclusion and collective practices.
Organizers said full schedules, times and the complete list of participants would be released on the festival's social channels.
"With accessible words, without giving up the depth of the discussion," the organizers said.
