Huawei Pura X Max Expands Foldable Design with Larger Displays and Stylus Support
Durability and Build Enhancements
The frame uses aluminum alloy construction and improves protection against the elements. It moves beyond water-only resistance to include dust protection, rated at IP58/IP59, along with resistance to high-temperature water exposure.
The outer display is shielded by second-generation Kunlun glass for added durability.
Advanced Camera System
The rear camera system features a 50MP main sensor with optical stabilization and a variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/4.0. It is joined by a 50MP periscope lens and a 12.5MP ultra-wide camera.
All rear sensors use RYYB technology, replacing the traditional green sub-pixel with yellow to improve light intake. Two 8MP front cameras are embedded in both displays, primarily intended for video calls.
Huawei’s XMAGE imaging system powers the camera processing, supported by an upgraded color sensor.
Availability and Pricing
The Pura X Max launches in China with multiple storage options. Pricing starts at CNY 11,000 for the 12GB/256GB model and reaches CNY 14,000 for the 16GB/1TB variant.
Global availability remains unclear, with no confirmation yet on releases outside the domestic market.
