Production Transition Set for 2027
Once existing commitments are fulfilled, Samsung is expected to phase out LPDDR4 and LPDDR4X entirely. The company plans to convert its production lines to focus on LPDDR5 chips starting in the first quarter of 2027.
The move reflects a wider shift in the semiconductor sector, where demand is increasingly centered on faster and more efficient memory solutions.
