His truck was carrying 28 pallets of Skims clothing, but an x-ray revealed a hidden compartment between the skin of the rear doors.
Inside, officials found 90 packages, each containing 2.2 lbs (1 kg) of cocaine, with a street value of around £7.2 million ($9.7 million).
An investigation showed an undeclared 16-minute stop in Konkel's route, where the drugs were likely loaded.

Konkel initially played dumb but later confessed to smuggling the cocaine in exchange for $5,230 (€4,500).
The National Crime Agency's operations manager, Paul Orchard, said organized crime groups use corrupt drivers like Konkel to move Class A drugs hidden on legitimate loads.

He added that the detection and investigation removed a significant amount of cocaine and deprived the crime group of an important enabler.
