Following that game, the collective ERA for Los Angeles relievers dropped to 3.24, ranking second in the National League.

The team provided details about the relief staff's ongoing performance in their pre-game report, noting the bullpen has not given up a run in six consecutive games and currently has an 18.0-inning scoreless streak.

The bullpen's statistical improvements coincide with the absence of star closer Edwin Diaz, who has been sidelined by an injury.

Since Diaz's last appearance on April 19, Dodgers relievers have posted a Major League Baseball-best 2.68 ERA.

Kyle Hurt has been a key anchor, throwing 12 consecutive scoreless innings since April 19.

During this stretch, he has recorded 13 strikeouts while allowing five hits and two walks.

These contributions have stabilized the roster as starting pitchers Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow remain sidelined with injuries.

To address the rotation shortage, the Dodgers signed left-handed pitcher Eric Lauer after he was designated for assignment by the Toronto Blue Jays.

Lauer joins Los Angeles carrying a 6.69 ERA across 36.1 innings pitched this season.
