The Oklahoma City Thunder have acquired rookie guard Jared McCain from the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for a package of four future draft selections, as reported by Yahoo Sports on May 20, 2026.

According to Yahoo Sports, the 76ers moved the former Duke player to clear a perceived surplus and acquire future draft capital.

The trade occurred after McCain fell out of Philadelphia's regular playing rotation following his return from consecutive injuries.

Yahoo Sports reported that the 76ers received one first-round selection and three second-round picks in the transaction.

The first-round asset consists of the Houston Rockets' 2026 selection, which is projected to fall in the late-20s draft range.

The remaining compensation includes a 2027 second-round pick that will be the most favorable selection among Oklahoma City, Houston, Indiana, and Miami.

Additionally, Philadelphia received future second-round selections originally belonging to the Thunder and the Milwaukee Bucks.

Prior to his sidelining injuries, McCain had established an early lead in the NBA Rookie of the Year race with Philadelphia, who selected him No. 16 overall in the 2024 NBA Draft.

McCain has since assumed a key role as a sharpshooter off the bench for the Thunder during the current postseason, while the 76ers were eliminated in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
