Legge has already qualified 26th for her fifth Indianapolis 500 appearance. She is one of 41 drivers competing for 40 spots in the Charlotte field.

Logistics and Preparation

The tight schedule requires a helicopter ride from the Indianapolis track to the local airport, followed by a private jet flight to Charlotte, according to the Associated Press.

Legge's management consulted with Kyle Larson's team to replicate their travel blueprint from previous double attempts.

"Hopefully, we get all of the travel woes out of the way now before the weekend," Legge said.

Unpredictable weather could disrupt the timeline, as isolated thunderstorms are forecast for Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon.

"This is a lot to do in a short period of time," Legge said.
