Martinez spent her first full Women's Super League campaign with West Ham after moving from Eintracht Frankfurt in July 2024.

She previously played eight years at Frankfurt, making over 100 appearances, and had a loan spell at SC Freiburg.

“I’m delighted to be a Spurs player.

This is the perfect next step for my career and also for me to improve as a player,” Martinez said.

The forward scored 10 goals in 12 league appearances in the second half of the 2024/25 season and added six goals across all competitions in 2025/26.

Her performances earned her a senior international debut for Germany against Spain in the UEFA Women’s Nations League final in November 2025.

“The Club has a really good squad and a good idea of how they want to play – that's why I'm so happy to be here,” she added.

Head Coach Praises Martinez’s Quality

Tottenham head coach Martin Ho expressed delight at securing Martinez despite strong competition.

“Shekiera is a player we have admired for some time, so we are delighted she has chosen to come to Tottenham Hotspur, especially with the level of significant interest there was in her,” Ho said.
