Spy photographers have caught an updated Lexus RX testing near the Nürburgring, hinting at a mid-cycle refresh for the brand's best-selling crossover.
The prototype wears camouflage on the front end, suggesting a revised grille and fascia. However, the overall shape appears similar to the current model.

More extensive changes could arrive later, including new wheels, a redesigned rear end, and updated lighting units.
Interior Overhaul Expected
While the cabin was not clearly visible, the RX is rumored to adopt an interior similar to the redesigned ES and all-new TZ.
This would mean a minimalist dashboard with streamlined switchgear.
A new 14-inch rectangular infotainment display is expected, offering improved responsiveness, greater personalization, a quick control menu, an enhanced voice assistant, and a drive recorder.

The familiar "L" steering wheel may be replaced by a new unit with "LEXUS" lettering and a sharper design.
A stubby shifter and updated trim are also possible.
Powertrain details remain unclear, but the current RX offers a turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder (275 hp), hybrid options (246 hp and 366 hp), and a plug-in hybrid (304 hp, 38 miles electric range).
