Brian White scored two goals and provided two assists to lead the Western Conference-leading Vancouver Whitecaps to a 4-2 victory over San Diego FC at Snapdragon Stadium on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

White opened the scoring in the 30th minute with assists from Thomas Müller and Tristan Blackmon.

He then made it 2-0 before halftime, converting passes from Jeevan Badwal and Kenji Cabrera for his 10th goal of the season.

San Diego FC cut the deficit in the 53rd minute through David Vazquez, who scored his third career goal.

Vancouver responded in the 67th minute when rookie Bruno Caicedo, who had entered the match just four minutes earlier, made it 3-1 off assists from White and Müller.

The home side was reduced to 10 men in the 72nd minute after Luca Bombino received a second yellow card.

Vancouver capitalized in the 75th minute as Ralph Priso scored his first goal in four seasons, with White and Müller providing the assists.

San Diego rookie Bryan Zamblé scored in the first minute of stoppage time to make it 4-2.

Anders Dreyer assisted on both San Diego goals, tying Son Heung-min of Los Angeles FC for the league lead with nine assists.

Müller finished with three assists, giving him four goals and four assists in 12 matches this season.

White recorded his first two assists of the year alongside his two goals.

Goalkeeper Isaac Boehmer made one save in his first appearance of the season for Vancouver, which improved to 10-2-2.

Boehmer started in place of Yohei Takaoka, who served a suspension after a red card against the Houston Dynamo.

San Diego goalkeeper CJ Dos Santos made seven saves in his second start as his team fell to 4-6-5.

The victory gave Vancouver a 3-1-2 away record, while San Diego dropped to 3-3-3 at home.

The match was the final fixture for both clubs before Major League Soccer pauses for the FIFA World Cup.
