Karl-Anthony Towns voiced strong support for Anunoby during the post-game press conference, arguing he deserved First Team honors.
"No one wants to ask OG about the All-Defensive second team?" Towns said before leaving the podium.
"He is one of the best defenders in the world, and he got robbed of the first," Towns added.
Jalen Brunson praised Anunoby's resilience and two-way impact, especially as he plays through a hamstring injury.
"OG is playing great.

Most importantly, he's locked in, and he's doing the things that we know that he's capable of," Brunson said.
Anunoby downplayed the individual accolade and the series lead, focusing on closing out the Cavaliers in Game 4.
"Just come out with desperation like it's still 0-0," Anunoby said.
The All-Defensive Second Team includes Bam Adebayo, Cason Wallace, Dyson Daniels, and Scottie Barnes.
Anunoby averaged 1.6 steals per game this season, ranking 14th in the league among players with at least 20 appearances.
