Club America Femenil captured their first regional title by defeating the Washington Spirit 5-3 in the Concacaf W Champions Cup Final on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Estadio Hidalgo in Pachuca, Mexico.

The Mexican side took a 2-0 lead early in the first half before the Spirit rallied to briefly take a second-half lead.

Aylin Avilez opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, tapping in a pass from Scarlett Camberos. Geyse extended the lead to 2-0 just five minutes later.

Washington responded through Sofia Cantore, who scored from 35 yards out. Rosemonde Kouassi equalized just 35 seconds into the second half.

Kouassi then chipped in her second goal of the match in the 58th minute to give Washington a temporary 3-2 lead.

She finished as the tournament's top scorer with six goals.

Club America leveled the score at 3-3 in the 61st minute when Geyse capitalized on an error by Spirit goalkeeper Sandy MacIver to net her second goal.

Karen Guerrero put Club America back ahead in the 79th minute, striking a shot into the bottom right corner following another assist from Camberos.

Camberos, serving as Club America's captain, sealed the 5-3 victory by scoring six minutes into second-half stoppage time.

She was named the best player of the final match.

Gotham FC, the defending regional champions, fell 3-0 to Pachuca Femenil in the third-place match held earlier that Saturday at the same venue.
