Chris Taylor has reversed his decision to retire from professional baseball, just one day after initially listing his retirement on the minor league transactions log.
The 35-year-old utility player will remain active with the Los Angeles Angels organization, according to a report by Rhett Bollinger of MLB.

Taylor spent the 2026 season with the Salt Lake Bees, the Angels' Triple-A affiliate, after failing to secure a major league roster spot in spring training.
Before reversing his retirement, he appeared in 32 games for the Bees, batting . 255 with a .
702 OPS and 15 RBIs.
A Decade in the Majors
Taylor played in Major League Baseball from 2014 through 2025, spending 10 seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
He won two World Series titles with the team, in 2020 and 2024.

Known for his defensive versatility, Taylor played second base, shortstop, third base, and all three outfield positions during his tenure in Los Angeles.
Over his MLB career, he posted a . 248 batting average with 110 home runs and 443 RBIs.
His best season came in 2021, when he earned an All-Star selection after hitting . 254 with 20 home runs and 73 RBIs.
Taylor also shined in the 2021 postseason, batting . 351 with four home runs.
His highlights included a walk-off home run in the National League Wild Card game against the St. Louis Cardinals.

After being released by the Dodgers in May 2025, Taylor played the remainder of that season with the Angels before re-signing for 2026.
