The Bengals revamped their defensive lineup this offseason following a three-year playoff drought.

They brought in critical reinforcements to stabilize a unit that frequently surrendered high-scoring leads over the past three seasons.

Cincinnati executed a major trade by sending the No. 10 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft to the Giants for defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence.

The team also signed safety Bryan Cook to a three-year, $40.25 million contract.

Burrow addressed his previous frustrations from December 31 and highlighted his renewed optimism regarding the franchise's aggressive front-office acquisitions.

"We don't want to be in the spot we are in now, so something's got to change," said Burrow.

The quarterback shifted his tone significantly while speaking amidst voluntary workouts, highlighting the massive talent upgrade across the defensive line and secondary.

"We have everything we need in that locker room," said Burrow.

Burrow elaborated on the overall depth of the roster, noting that the team secured premier talent at multiple defensive positions during free agency.

"I think this is the most talented roster that we've had since I've been here," said Burrow.

The quarterback specifically praised the acquisition of Lawrence at the tenth draft spot, expressing great enthusiasm for the impactful trade.
