Dutch cyclist Demi Vollering has extended her contract with French team FDJ-Suez through the end of the 2028 season, the team announced on Friday.
The 29-year-old European road champion moved from SD Worx last year and has secured multiple major victories during her one-and-a-half-year tenure with the squad.

The announcement comes just before she starts as the favorite in the upcoming Giro d'Italia Women, which begins on Saturday.
Vollering said in a team press release that the environment has allowed everyone to grow, not only as athletes but also as people, and that it has become home.
She expressed motivation to continue writing the next chapters of the team's story together.
The team described the extension as a symbol of mutual trust and shared ambition to inspire the sport.

Vollering stated she is driven to build something bigger than just victories, aiming to inspire a generation of girls and boys and advance the sport as a whole.

Team manager Stephen Delcourt expressed high satisfaction with retaining the Dutch rider long-term, calling her an exceptional athlete at the peak of her career.

After the Giro d'Italia Women, Vollering will target the Tour de France Femmes this summer, an event she won in 2023 before securing consecutive second-place finishes in the last two editions.
