Stade Rennais is preparing for their return to European football after a two-year absence. The club is already working on squad reinforcements for the upcoming campaign.
According to reports, Rennes has set its sights on French midfielder Antoine Hainaut. The 24-year-old currently plays for Venezia in Italy's Serie B.

Hainaut enjoyed a productive season with Venezia, making 37 appearances in the second tier. He contributed five goals and six assists during the campaign.
His performances helped Venezia finish top of the league table, securing promotion back to Serie A.
Despite the club's success, Hainaut may not stay with Venezia for the top-flight season.

The versatile midfielder can operate on the right side of midfield or as a wing-back.
He previously attracted interest from French sides SCO Angers and AJ Auxerre during the last summer transfer window.
Rennes has now entered the race and considers Hainaut a viable option to strengthen their squad.
