Omaha Millard South has officially launched its summer training program with the arrival of four-star quarterback prospect Trae Taylor, who recently won the MVP title at the Elite 11 event in Las Vegas.
Taylor transferred from Carmel Catholic in Illinois after committing to Nebraska, joining the defending NSAA Class A state champions.

The team won the 2025 championship against Papillion-LaVista South and finished the season ranked 15th in the final Rivals National High School Football Top 25.
Alongside Taylor, three-star wide receiver Tay Ellis transferred from Crowley in Texas. Rivals Industry Rankings list Ellis as the fifth-best player in Texas.
"We've got like, almost 50-something days until our first game, and day three (of summer practices), we have made a lot of progress," Taylor told local media.
"It's cool that Tay and I are here, but it's also cool that we were able to join a team and become a family so quickly."
The roster also lost more than ten players from the 2026 graduating class to Division I programs, including four-star quarterback Jett Thomalla, who was ranked No. 4 nationally at his position.

Thomalla recorded 3,484 passing yards and 58 touchdowns before committing to Alabama.
Taylor takes over at quarterback, while Ellis steps in as the top receiver. The two have developed a strong connection during early practices.
"That's my best friend," Ellis said of Taylor. "It's crazy that we actually get to play together our senior year, right?
But we're going into Nebraska playing together, so we're building up a great connection on the field."
