Bryan Reynolds hit two home runs and Brandon Lowe added a solo blast in the ninth inning as the Pittsburgh Pirates rallied to beat the Oakland Athletics 6-5 on Tuesday night at Sutter Health Park.

Oakland jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning.

Zack Gelof's grounder to first baseman Spencer Horwitz resulted in an errant throw that allowed three runs to score, and Lawrence Butler followed with an RBI double.

Pittsburgh began its comeback in the fourth inning. Nick Gonzales drove in a run on a groundout against pitcher Jack Perkins.

Reynolds launched a 408-foot solo home run in the sixth inning. Endy Rodríguez then added an RBI single to pull the Pirates within one run.

Gelof answered with a solo homer for Oakland.

The game was tied in the seventh when Reynolds hit a two-run home run off Hogan Harris.

It was his fourth career game with home runs from both sides of the plate.

Lowe secured the victory with a 371-foot solo home run off Elvis Alvarado in the ninth inning.

It was his 18th home run of the season and gave Pittsburgh its first lead.

Pirates pitcher Mitch Keller recorded seven strikeouts over 5.1 innings, reaching 902 career strikeouts. He surpassed Steve Blass for seventh place on the franchise's all-time list.

Reliever Mason Montgomery earned the win. Gregory Soto secured his 11th save after striking out Tyler Soderstrom and retiring Jacob Wilson.

The Pirates bullpen pitched 3.2 scoreless innings.

The team's extra-base hit streak extended to 47 consecutive games, the longest active streak in Major League Baseball.

Right-handed pitcher Braxton Ashcraft is scheduled to start for the Pirates in the series finale on Wednesday. The Athletics have not yet announced their starter.
