According to usatoday. com, the cheapest available ticket for the upcoming match spiked to $2,197 in Section Category 3.
That marked an increase of nearly $400 shortly after Lionel Messi scored a hat trick in Kansas City.
The victory placed Argentina at the top of Group J as they continue their 2026 FIFA World Cup title defense.
Head coach Lionel Scaloni successfully integrated forward Julián Álvarez back into full training following an ankle sprain.
Algeria entered the tournament under head coach Vladimir Petkovic holding the 29th spot in the FIFA rankings.
They aimed to replicate their historic 2014 run to the Round of 16 after a 12-year absence from the global stage.
Before the tournament commenced, Algeria extended Petkovic's contract through 2028. He guided the team to 29 wins in 41 matches since his appointment in early 2024.

"Seeing 5-600 people that first evening, fans that were waiting outside our hotel, it really gave me goosebumps.
It filled me with a source of pride. We saw that there were so many US citizens that had scarves for us.
They showed so much support and they wanted to celebrate this moment with the team," said Petkovic.
The Algerian squad experienced significant local support during their preparation matches in Kansas, where they trained ahead of the opening group stage matches.
"From a football standpoint, that we can also get through to the knockout stage and maybe everyone from Kansas can travel with us to another city," Petkovic added.
