Colombia secured their spot by finishing third in South American qualifiers with 28 points. Luis Diaz led the scoring with seven goals, followed by Luis Suarez with four.

Uzbekistan earned their first-ever World Cup appearance by placing second in Group A of Asian qualifiers with 21 points under manager Fabio Cannavaro.

Players Emphasize Respect for Opponent

Colombian defender Santiago Arias stated the team's approach during a training session at Club America facilities. "The idea is never to underestimate the opponent.

We have set ourselves as favorites, but we know Uzbekistan's strengths and weaknesses. We will go out with the seriousness that characterizes us to win," Arias said.

Arias also expressed pride in representing his country. "I am proud to be here.

Each World Cup has been different, but I come with the same enthusiasm and joy because representing my country is the best.

We have the mentality to do something great."

Forward Luis Suarez echoed Arias's sentiments regarding the tournament's competitiveness. "In this World Cup there are no favorites.

All teams have come to compete at their best, so it will be a very difficult match where we need patience to overcome the opponent."
