Brazil climbed to the top of World Cup Group C with a convincing 3-0 victory over Haiti.

The five-time world champions displayed notable tactical improvement compared to their previous goalless draw against Morocco.

Matheus Cunha spearheaded the attack, scoring twice in the opening half. Vinícius Júnior added the third goal during a dominant first-half performance.

Haiti's high defensive line proved costly, allowing Cunha, Raphinha, and Vinícius to exploit space behind the defenders repeatedly.

Raphinha experienced early frustration when his 12th-minute goal was disallowed for offside.

The Barcelona forward collected a through-ball from Bruno Guimarães and finished cleanly, but the flag was correctly raised.

Ten minutes later, Raphinha broke clear again but misdirected his shot wide, with the offside flag raised shortly after.

Brazil broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute through Cunha.

Vinícius cut inside from the left and unleashed a curling shot that Haiti goalkeeper Johny Placide parried directly into the path of the Manchester United forward.

Cunha doubled the lead after 36 minutes following a midfield turnover by Haiti. Vinícius turned provider, playing the former Wolves striker through on the left.

Cunha then struck a powerful first-time finish into the roof of the net.

The positive start faced a setback just before the interval. Raphinha was forced off due to an apparent hamstring injury, replaced by Bournemouth teenager Rayan.

Vinícius turned from playmaker to goalscorer during first-half stoppage time.
