Coventry City has entered the race to sign AFC Bournemouth striker Daniel Jebbison, according to reports.

The Sky Blues have completed initial background checks on the 22-year-old forward, as per TEAMtalk.

Jebbison, a Canada international, is attracting interest from multiple clubs. Newly promoted Premier League sides Ipswich Town and Hull City are also keen.

Championship clubs Burnley, Middlesbrough, Birmingham City, Norwich City, and Blackburn Rovers have expressed interest directly to Bournemouth.

Loan Move Likely

Bournemouth is reportedly unwilling to sell Jebbison permanently. The club prefers a season-long loan to a competitive Championship side.

Jebbison came through Sheffield United's academy, making 35 senior appearances before moving to Bournemouth for a training fee.

In his debut season with the Cherries, he made 16 substitute appearances in the Premier League and scored once after a mid-season recall from a loan at Watford.

Last season, he played on loan at Preston North End, scoring six goals in 38 league appearances, including 22 starts.

CoventryLive noted that while Jebbison has 75 Championship appearances, his goal-scoring record raises questions about his ability to lead a Premier League-caliber attack.
