Frances Tiafoe and Francisco Cerundolo each captured the biggest titles of their careers on Sunday, winning ATP 500 events on grass in Germany and London just ahead of Wimbledon.
Tiafoe defeated fellow American Taylor Fritz 6-4, 6-4 to win the Halle Open. It was his fourth ATP Tour title and first at the 500 level.

The 28-year-old overcame three top-10 opponents during the tournament, including Flavio Cobolli and Felix Auger-Aliassime.
The victory lifted him back into the world top 20 after a disappointing first-round exit at the French Open.
"I lost a lot of 500 finals, I lost a lot of finals in my career, this is big," Tiafoe said, according to ATP quotes.
Tiafoe credited his serving performance for the win, noting he had recently addressed consistency and motivation with his inner circle.
"I felt I couldn't miss one and I returned really well," he said. "I played a clean match.

At the Queen's Club Championships in London, Cerundolo secured his first ATP 500 title and second grass-court trophy by beating American Tommy Paul 6-7, 6-4, 6-3.
Paul, who missed the 2024 edition due to injury after winning the tournament that year, saved four championship points but faded in the final sets.
"We always seem to have unreal matches and today you were the better player," Paul said during the trophy ceremony.
Cerundolo celebrated the milestone on Father's Day in front of his parents.

"It's the first time my dad has taken a flight and the first time he has come to watch me outside of Argentina," Cerundolo said after lifting the trophy.
