The Thunder redirected that 22nd pick, which became Labaron Philon Jr., along with three future second-round draft picks to the Philadelphia 76ers in February 2026 to acquire McCain.
The overall transaction sequence yielded Chris Paul, Nikola Topic, and McCain for Oklahoma City.
Houston acquired Westbrook, who spent one season with the Rockets before being traded to the Washington Wizards.
McCain, a 22-year-old guard, averaged 10.0 points and 1.9 rebounds in 17.2 minutes per game over 15 playoff appearances for the Thunder during the 2026 postseason.
