Hyundai has unveiled the all-new Avante, known as the Elantra in North America, in the Korean market.

The compact sedan enters its eighth generation with a dramatically sharper design and a host of technological upgrades.

The new model adopts Hyundai's "Art of Steel" design language, giving it a sportier and more muscular stance compared to its predecessor.

It measures 4,765 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width, and 1,425 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,750 mm.

These dimensions represent an increase of 55 mm in length and 30 mm in width, with an extra 30 mm between the axles.

Hyundai says the larger size brings interior space closer to that of a midsize sedan.

AI and Infotainment Upgrades

Inside, the Elantra features the Pleos Connect infotainment system and the generative AI agent "Gleo AI," which was recently introduced in the facelifted Grandeur flagship.

These systems aim to enhance the digital experience for occupants.

Two powertrain options are available for the Korean-spec Avante.

An improved 2.0-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine produces 147 hp, a gain of 26 hp over the outgoing model.

A self-charging hybrid combines a more efficient 1.6-liter engine with a more potent electric motor and larger battery, delivering a combined 155 hp.
