Soudal Quick-Step and XDS Astana have left Spanish riders Mikel Landa and Cristián Rodríguez out of their official eight-man rosters for the 2026 Tour de France.
The decision was announced on June 26, 2026, following recent injuries and transfer disputes.

Landa's Injury Woes
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Landa failed to secure a spot due to ongoing fitness issues after a pelvic fracture.
The 36-year-old climber was struck by a medical vehicle at the Tour of the Basque Country.
The injury forced him to miss the Giro d'Italia.

His return at the Tour de Suisse saw him withdraw during the fifth stage while sitting 14th in the general classification.
Rodríguez's Impending Departure
Spanish outlet Marca reported that XDS Astana excluded the 31-year-old Rodríguez because of his impending departure from the Kazakh team at the end of the 2026 season.
Despite strong form, including an eighth-place finish at the Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, he was not selected.
