The England international detailed his pre-match preparation, highlighting a combination of nervousness and excitement that drives his routine before the squad gathers at the stadium three and a half hours prior to kickoff.
“To be fair, it’s quite relaxed. We’re there quite early before kick-off.
We’re normally there three-and-a-half hours before the actual game, so I think when we get there it’s more of a relaxed vibe,” Shaw said.
“Everyone’s a bit more chilled and talking normally.
I think more of a focus will come once we’ve had a little meeting at Carrington, before we leave.
Then we step onto the bus and I think that’s when the focus changes.”
