Blood Donation Campaign

In tandem with the event, the band partnered with the Welsh Blood Service, England's NHS Blood and Transplant, and the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service to launch a massive blood donation campaign running until July 3.

"A simple act that can make a powerful difference," stated Metallica, calling on their fans to donate blood and plasma during their UK tour stops.

The collaboration marks the first time the heavy metal veterans have partnered with UK blood services, following similar successful initiatives previously conducted during their tours across the United States and Australia.

"A unique moment," stated Alan Prosser, of the Welsh Blood Service, regarding the nationwide collaboration with the band.

The initiative was originally conceived by the band's tour accountant alongside the band members themselves to foster community engagement during their global tours.

"We just started it, and it took off to where it's at now," said Chris Risner, Metallica's tour accountant, who noted that he anticipated a positive response due to the strong connection between the band and its fans.
