Dutch model Sylvia Geersen suffered injuries after an unknown man assaulted her and threatened her with a firearm at a Rotterdam cafe over the weekend.
According to a police press release, a 40-year-old Rotterdam resident was kicked and beaten inside a venue on Bergse Dorpsstraat.

The victim did not require hospitalization.
Local reports from Instagram account RealityFBI identified the location as Café Van Eijk in the Hillegersberg neighborhood. Geersen reportedly had a visibly swollen nose and bloody clothing.

The confrontation escalated after Geersen greeted a long-time male acquaintance and attempted to introduce herself to his partner, who responded with jealousy.
Witnesses stated that the woman involved was the partner of former football manager Henk ten Cate. She allegedly assisted the unidentified assailant in fleeing the establishment.

The suspect reportedly pulled Geersen to the ground by her hair and brandished a firearm before escaping. Authorities are currently analyzing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses.
Geersen's management confirmed the incident but refrained from providing extensive details regarding her current state. Management stated she is doing "naar omstandigheden" (under the circumstances).
The assault follows a series of public challenges for the former Holland's Next Top Model finalist, including headlines regarding her statements on Jeffrey Epstein and her fiancé's recent arrest.
