Jarren Duran delivered a game-winning single in the bottom of the 10th inning, lifting the Boston Red Sox to a 5-4 victory over the New York Yankees on Sunday night at Fenway Park.
The win completed a four-game series sweep for Boston.

It was the Red Sox's first four-game home sweep of the Yankees since 2018.
The victory also extended Boston's winning streak to four games, their longest of the season.
The late-inning drama began after Boston squandered a two-run lead in the ninth inning.
All-Star closer Aroldis Chapman allowed the Yankees to tie the game at 2-2, aided by a throwing error from right fielder Wilyer Abreu.
New York added two more runs in the top of the 10th inning on another Abreu error and an RBI single by Amed Rosario.
However, right-hander Fernando Cruz earned the win after keeping the deficit within reach.

In the bottom of the 10th, Anthony Seigler hit an RBI single, and Tsung-Che Chung delivered a game-tying sacrifice fly.
Duran then lined a single into right field against a five-man infield to secure the walk-off victory.
The loss dropped the Yankees one game behind the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League East standings.
Second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. was ejected in the sixth inning for arguing a strikeout.
New York returns home Monday to start a three-game series against the Detroit Tigers. Left-hander Ryan Weathers is scheduled to face right-hander Casey Mize.

Boston remains at Fenway Park on Monday to open a three-game series against the Washington Nationals. Left-hander Ranger Suarez is set to start against left-hander Andrew Alvarez.
