Former Dancing with the Stars professional dancers Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd have relocated their family from Los Angeles to Florida.
The couple announced the move on Monday, June 29, 2026, via a joint Instagram video post.

They share three children: Shai, 9, Rio, 3, and Milan, who turns two in July.
In the announcement, the dancers expressed mixed emotions about leaving their longtime home.
"We did it… we moved to Florida," they said.
"Leaving behind the place we'd called home for so many years wasn't easy, but sometimes the biggest leaps lead you exactly where you're meant to be," they added.
The couple noted that their children are adjusting well to the new environment.
"The happiness, the slower pace, the sunshine, watching our boys love every second of it… it's everything we hoped for and more," they said.
They emphasized that the challenges of packing and moving were worthwhile.

Fellow former show professional Sharna Burgess expressed excitement for the family.
