Elon Musk has long portrayed himself as a centrist, claiming Democrats have moved left while he remains a moderate free speech advocate.

However, his actions on X tell a different story.

The world's richest person has repeatedly amplified far-right and racist content, turning his platform into a megaphone for extremist views.

The latest example is his promotion of the film "Citizen Vigilante."

Promoting Far-Right Propaganda

Musk spent days, including his birthday, sharing the movie directed by Uwe Boll, often called "the world's worst director."

The film features a white landlord executing migrants, including a Muslim family, after a series of crimes.

Germany's film authority refused to classify it, citing incitement of violence against migrants.

Yet Musk posted the entire film on X for free, retweeting endorsements from far-right figures like the leader of Germany's AfD party.

This is not an isolated incident.

Weeks earlier, after a stabbing in Northern Ireland allegedly by a migrant, Musk amplified anti-immigrant narratives, including posts from Islamophobic activist Tommy Robinson, garnering over 64 million views.

Real-World Consequences

Such amplification has dangerous implications. The "great replacement" conspiracy, spread online, has inspired terrorist attacks from Christchurch to Buffalo.

Anti-Muslim rhetoric on social media has been linked to hate crimes globally.

While Musk is not directly responsible for every extremist act, his influence matters.

He owns the most influential social media platform and controls what his 240 million followers see. By promoting violent propaganda, he legitimizes ideas once considered beyond the pale.

Critics, including Northern Ireland's First Minister Michelle O'Neill, have condemned Musk for "orchestrating hate and tension." Yet major U.

S. media outlets have largely ignored his promotion of "Citizen Vigilante."

Musk's digital footprint reveals a pattern of boosting far-right agitators and anti-migrant rhetoric. Despite his centrist claims, his actions signal validation for xenophobes and bigots.
