Actress Courteney Cox and Snow Patrol guitarist Johnny McDaid have reportedly ended their relationship after more than a decade together, according to multiple outlets including the Daily Mail and People magazine.

The couple, introduced by singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran in 2013, faced various hurdles over their 13-year romance, including maintaining separate homes in California and London and navigating long distance.

Representatives for Cox, 62, and McDaid, 49, have not publicly addressed the split. The pair was last photographed together in September at the 2025 US Open.

A Relationship Marked by Ups and Downs

Cox recalled first noticing McDaid while he played the piano at a party at her house.

"I remember seeing Johnny and going, 'Oh, wow, he's intense, he's got those eyes,'" she said on The Howard Stern Show in 2022.

After initially dating, the pair got engaged in February 2014 but called it off in late 2015, resulting in a six-month separation before they reconciled.

"Just look at us," McDaid told E! News in May 2016, openly expressing his enduring affection.

"I love her. I've always loved her."

Cox discussed the impact of their brief split during a 2019 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

"I think the distance after that breakup, we were apart for six months, that really showed us a lot.

It's just better," she said, adding that traveling between continents made the arrangement "expensive."

The couple later marked major milestones, with McDaid supporting Cox at her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in 2023.
