Famewo becomes Bolton's third summer acquisition under manager Steven Schumacher, following the arrivals of Ben Davies and David Watson.

The transfer comes as Hull City restructure their squad ahead of their Premier League campaign.

“I met with the manager and everyone in charge here and speaking about aspirations and what we want to achieve here it was really exciting times,” Famewo said, according to bwfc.

The defender expressed eagerness about his new role after learning how highly the coaching staff valued his playing style.

“Because they believe in me, and the fact that they said that they're really fond of me and how I play and want me to be more involved than I was last year, that’s something I can never say no to,” Famewo added.

Famewo had crossed paths with the Bolton team at Wembley during Hull City's promotion celebrations, where he observed the dedication of the Bolton fanbase first-hand.

“I understand we've got a fairly young squad, but they did amazing last year and I ran into most of them after our promotion when we were leaving the hotel and the fans were all just entering the stadium at Wembley,” he said.

The London-born player brings extensive lower-league experience, having registered nearly 200 career appearances across stints with Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton Athletic, Norwich City, and Luton Town.
