A devastating fire swept through a ten-story apartment building in Antwerp on Wednesday morning, July 1, 2026, killing several residents and leaving many others severely injured.
The blaze originated on the eighth floor of the residential complex located on the left bank of the Scheldt river, according to Flemish broadcaster VRT.

Emergency response teams are currently battling the flames and conducting rescue operations. A drone has been deployed to assist in the search for victims within the smoke-filled building.
Evacuation Underway
