Brad Dalke, the former prodigy turned YouTuber, shot a 3-under 69 on Thursday at Golfclub München Eichenried in Germany during the opening round of the DP World Tour's BMW International Open.

This marks Dalke's first world-ranked tournament appearance in nearly six years. He sits five shots behind co-leaders Jayden Schaper and Hennie du Plessis.

Dalke recorded four birdies in his first 12 holes and made several critical par saves on the back nine to secure a position well inside the cut line.

His round nearly included a hole-in-one on the 230-yard par-3 second hole, where his tee shot stopped just a few feet from the cup.

He added birdie tap-ins on the ninth and 11th holes, followed by a 34-foot birdie putt on the 12th.

After a bogey on the 14th, Dalke rebounded with a 30-foot par save on the 15th and a 15-foot par save on the 17th after escaping the right greenside bunker.

On the par-5 18th, he hit his tee shot into the water but pitched his third shot to 70 yards and converted a 3-foot putt for par.

Dalke's 69 outperformed several notable players, including Sergio Garcia and Casey Jarvis (both 71), as well as Patrick Reed and Eugenio Chacarra (both 72).

This is only the sixth world-ranked start for the 2019 Oklahoma graduate.

He previously missed cuts at the 2016 Valero Texas Open, the 2017 Masters, and the 2017 U. S.

Open.
