Four-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka will face Daria Kasatkina in the Wimbledon third round on Friday, July 3, 2026, after both players advanced from their respective second-round matches at the All England Club.
Osaka secured her spot by defeating qualifier Anastasia Gasanova 6-3, 6-2 in a match that concluded in 67 minutes.

The former world number one has never advanced past the third round at Wimbledon throughout her career.
Osaka's Fashion Statement
Before stepping onto court two for her victory, Osaka drew significant public attention by showcasing an all-white outfit featuring a wide belt and a long, trailing train during her walk from the locker room.
"I wanted the garment to exist as the moment before performance," said Hana Yagi, the Tokyo-based designer.
The designer explained that the two-part ensemble, which included a white Nike tennis dress under the robe, served as a marker for the preparation ritual before athletic competition.
"The walk-on surrounds Naomi in ceremony, while the Nike kit represents the athlete in competition. I thought about them as two chapters within the same story," said Yagi.
Osaka routinely uses her prominent public platform to express herself artistically through custom clothing designs on tour.
"I like to use fashion as a medium for storytelling," said Osaka.
Following her second-round victory over Gasanova, Osaka explained her stylistic choice and shared her personal relief about remaining in the London tournament.
"I'm just trying to mix it up a little bit," said Osaka. The victory allowed her to avoid a quick departure before her daughter's upcoming birthday celebration.
