Beyonce surprised fans with a new song on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

The track, titled "Morning Dew (Donk)," marks the start of a 60-day countdown to the 20th anniversary of her second studio album, B'Day.

The song was originally recorded for the 2006 album but was not released at the time. It was co-written by Beyonce, Pharrell Williams, The-Dream, and Darius Dixon.

Beyonce and Williams also co-produced the track.

This is Beyonce's first new material since her 2024 album Cowboy Carter. The song is now available on all streaming platforms.

An official press release stated that the midday release was "a direct nod to her loyal BeyHive to commemorate the upcoming epic celebration of B'Day."

The single comes with a lyric video featuring archival footage directed by photographer Cliff Watts. Watts previously shot Beyonce's iconic Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover around her 25th birthday.

The 20th Anniversary edition of B'Day is scheduled for release on September 4, 2026. "Morning Dew (Donk)" will be included on the reissue.

The original B'Day album debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling 541,196 copies in its first week.

It also topped the International Album Chart in Japan within three days of its global release.
