This match marks the beginning of a challenging summer tour for Gregor Townsend's Scottish squad, which also includes fixtures against South Africa and Fiji.

Scotland will be without fly-half Finn Russell, who is sidelined with a calf injury sustained at the end of the Gallagher Premier League season.

Tom Jordan will start at number 10 in his absence.

Kyle Rowe takes the full-back position, while Rory Hutchinson partners captain Sione Tuipulotu in the midfield after strong performances for Northampton.

The forward pack features Pierre Schoeman and Scott Cummings, both earning their 50th international caps for Scotland.

Lock Jonny Gray makes his first national appearance since the 2025 Six Nations.

Milestones for Argentina

This encounter follows a previous meeting at Murrayfield in November, where Scotland led 21-0 before Argentina staged a comeback victory.
