Elon Musk posted about UK race and immigration topics twice as often as he did about SpaceX in the lead-up to the aerospace firm's Nasdaq debut, according to a Guardian analysis.

Between May 31 and June 12, Musk posted 303 times on race and immigration, with nearly 75% focusing on British politics.

In contrast, he made only 114 posts about SpaceX before its June 12 listing.

The online activity coincided with heightened social tensions in the UK after the sentencing of Vickrum Digwa for the murder of teenager Henry Nowak, which sparked far-right protests and clashes with law enforcement.

British government officials criticized Musk's commentary, expressing concerns that the world's wealthiest individual was inflaming domestic tensions during a period of public unrest.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated, "Musk again has been interfering in our politics in the last few days, trying to whip up division.

That is not who we are in Britain."

He emphasized that the nation prefers to handle tragic situations without external escalation, adding, "In Britain we are reasonable, tolerant people.

When we have a terrible case like Henry's case, Henry Nowak, we react calmly, as his family has done."

Musk defended his digital engagement when questioned online about prioritizing cultural debates over personal leisure, stating, "Nothing else matters if civilization falls."

His political commentary continued through the eve of the public listing, including interactions that drew criticism from governance watchdogs and state representatives.
