A couple renovating a dilapidated farmhouse in Pembrokeshire, west Wales, endured a sustained campaign of terror from their neighbors, according to The Guardian.

The situation deteriorated after Richard and Amanda loaned Francis £10,000, followed by a second payment of £15,000, intended as a deposit for paddocks they wished to buy.
Francis and Cassie later parked an all-terrain vehicle on the couple's lawn and began sending disturbing WhatsApp images of weapons, crossbows, and machetes.
Francis eventually messaged, "We're not selling you the land any more.

The harassment escalated when Francis severed the water supply pipe running beneath his ground, prompting the victims to contact Dyfed-Powys police via 101.

Francis subsequently erected a two-meter-high steel palisade security fence topped with jagged spikes along the property boundary, attaching black plastic sheets to create constant noise.
Amanda later witnessed the neighbors firing crossbows near the fence line, and that same evening, two windows on their double-decker bus were shattered by 10mm ball bearings.
