Two 15-year-old boys died early Sunday morning after their vehicle struck a tree and caught fire on the Boekelsedijk in the village of Zeeland, according to local police.
The crash occurred on July 5, 2026. Authorities initially identified the first victim as a 15-year-old resident of Uden.

Later Sunday afternoon, a police spokesperson announced that the second deceased individual is highly likely a 15-year-old boy from Veghel.
Official identification is still pending, but law enforcement said they have sufficient information to proceed under that assumption.

The single-vehicle collision scattered debris across the roadway. Emergency services secured the scene.
No other vehicles or traffic were involved.

Following the crash, the Boekelsedijk was closed in both directions to allow forensic collision investigators to conduct a thorough examination.
