The FIFA World Cup 2026 knockout stage accelerates as the Round of 16 matches commence on July 4, following the conclusion of the round of 32.

Sixteen qualified teams will compete across three days of single-elimination matches to determine which eight countries advance to the quarterfinal round.

Round of 16 Schedule

The opening day features Canada playing Morocco at Houston Stadium at 1 p. m.

, followed by Paraguay facing France at Philadelphia Stadium at 5 p. m.

On July 5, Brazil plays Norway in New Jersey at 4 p. m.

, and Mexico hosts England in Mexico City at 8 p. m.

July 6 sees Spain face Portugal at 3 p. m.

in Dallas, while the United States plays Belgium at 8 p. m.

in Seattle.

The final Round of 16 fixtures take place on July 7, featuring Egypt at noon in Atlanta and Switzerland at 4 p.

Quarterfinals and Beyond

Quarterfinal matches are scheduled to begin on July 9 at 4 p. m.
